While in Portland, I visited Powell's Bookstore and purchased a book that lends itself for a fun, and fast, link to the study of context and language. It's titled: It's A Book. The author is: Lane Smith. Since it features cartoon characters, it seems to be geared toward younger audiences, but the content suggets otherwise. It's about a donkey whose context is limited to technology and his response when exposed to a book. It's cute. I used it in a mini-lesson today.
